Padmabhushan (Prof) C. V. Chandrashekhar is one of India's senior most Bharatanatyam dancers, academician, dance scholar, composer, and choreographer. He received Post Diploma from prestigious Kalakshetra and was trained under none other than Smt Rukmini Devi Arundale. He retired as Dean of the Faculty of Performing Arts from M.S. University, Baroda in 1992. Professor Chandrashekhar and wife Jaya Chandrasekhar are one of the best known dancing couples of Bharata Natyam in India.He was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Bharatnatyam in 1993, by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, India's National Academy of Music, Dance and Drama and received the Kalidas Samman in 2008. Recognising his contribution to the field of Bharatanatyam Prof. Chandrasekhar was honoured with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2011.

Padmashri Sobha Naidu is among the foremost Kuchipudi dancers of India and an outstanding disciple of the renowned master Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam. She mastered the technique of Kuchipudi and began dancing lead roles in dance-dramas while still very young. She has performed with her guru's troupe all over the country and abroad, excelling in the roles of Satyabhama and Padmavati. She has been awarded the coveted title of "Nritya Choodamani" by than Krishna Gana Sabha of Madras, followed by a prestigious award by Central Sangeeta Nataka Kala Academy in the year 1991. Govt of India honoured her with prestigeous "Padmasree Award".

Padmashri Dr. Sunil Kothari is a dance historian, author, critic and a renowned scholar from India. He has to his credit more than 15 scholarly books on dance. Dr Kothari earned his Ph.D. in Dance from M. S University, D.Litt in Dance from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata and was Fulbright Professor in the Dance Department of New York University, New York, USA. A full-fledged Chartered Accountant otherwise, Dr Kothari is a prolific writer and for 40 years he was as a dance critic of The Times of India group of publications. He also regularly contributed to Dance Magazine, New York, as a correspondent from India. For his outstanding contributions, he has been honoured by the President of India with civil honour of Padma Shri and Sangeet Natak Akademi award. He was given Life Time Achievement Award by Dance Critics’ Association, New York.

Neena Prasad, Ph. D. Neena Prasad, Ph. D.

Dr. Neena Prasad a brilliant performer with excellent academic background who continues to research in dance along with her performances and teaching responsibilities. She pursued a rigourous regimen of dance education, achieving proficiency in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam and Kathakali. After her MA in English Literature, she was awarded PhD in dance from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata and was also awarded a post doctoral Research Fellowship from the AHRB Research Centre for Cross Cultural Music and Dance Performance, University of Surrey. She has presented papers in several international conferences and is also on the panel of board members and expert committee of several Indian and foreign universities.

Kumar K., Ph. D. Kumar K., Ph. D.

Dr. Kumar K. is a well known scholar and a faculty member of Bharatanatyam at University of Mysore, Dr Kumar completed Masters in Dance from I.K.S.V.V and received Ph. D. From University of Mysore in Performing Arts.He has published several research papers and is on board of examiners in several universities for both at UG and PG level. Dr Kumar is a recipient of several national and international awards.

Swarnamalya Ganesh, Ph. D Swarnamalya Ganesh, Ph. D.

Dr. Swarnamalya Ganesh is a professional classical Bharatanatyam dancer with over 25 years of professional experience. She is a senior disciple of Kalaimamani K.J. Sarasa who is an exponent guru from the hereditary dancing family. Apart from training with some more of the devadasi gurus and nattuvanars she is also involved in documenting their repertoire. She is a trained classical singer and holds a masters degree in Bharatanatyam and Ph.D from University of Madras. She is also a popular film and television actor form South India. She has several prestigious movies and television programs to her credit. Recipient of several awards, she is researching and writing a work on the “dance inscriptions of Tamilnadu” commissioned by The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, through a fellowship grant.

Jaikishore hails from an artist's family, the son of Chennai violinist Sri M.S. Rao. He is among the prime disciples of Padmabhushan Guru Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam of the Kuchipudi Art Academy, Chennai. Mastering the intricacies of the Kuchipudi style, Jaikishore excelled in important roles in his guru's ballets and solo performances. His technical perfection, incomparable flexibility, and complete transformation into the character he depicted won him patronising reviews and accolades. He is also known for his brilliant control on Nattuvangam(cymbals). He has extensively performed in some of the prestigious dance festivals of India, USA, UK, Russia, Europe, Middle East etc. In recognition as an excellent performer and an understanding teacher, Jaikishore was awarded the title 'NATYA VISHAARADA,' by Kuchipudi Arts Academy in March 1999, and the title of ‘YUVA KALA VIPANCHEE’ by the Vipanchee Trust headed by PadmaVibhushan Dr. M. Balamurali Krishna in December 2004.

Padmavani, wife and disciple of Sri. Kishore Mosalikanti, was initiated into dance at a young age and has eventually grown to be a kuchipudi exponent. Though her initial training was in bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi became her passion after she joined Kuchipudi Kala Kendra Mumbai under the tutelage of Sri.M.S.R.Murty, a senior disciple of Padmabhushan guru Dr.Vempati Chinna Satyam. Padmavani is a recipient of the National Scholarship, from the Dept. of Culture, Govt. of India for the year 1998—2000 and holds M.A in Kuchipudi from ‘Sri Siddhendra Yogi Kuchipudi Kala Peetham’, affiliated to ‘Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad. Along with her husband, she has also travelled to several other countries and assists Jaikishore in his choreographies.
